Recently I've dreamed about mud: walking in it, scraping the yucky stuff off of my shoes, and getting my hands in it too. This has been a recurring dream theme over the past month.
What's it all mean? Why do dreams re-occur?
The first dream about walking along a slippery muddy path full of dark puddles caught my attention. Then I forgot about it until the dream about muddy shoes followed. I began to suspect a recurring dream theme was starting. I haven't had a recurring series of dreams for a while. Last night, I was playing with mud pies...slapping handfuls of wet clay in a mountainous pile and being quite creative, and caring how my fantacy sculpture turned out. Hmmmm, lol.
I can't blame the weather for my crazy recurring dreams--spring's rainy days are yet to come and the ground is still frozen. I haven't walked on a muddy road since last April.
Maybe my dreams are wishful thinking: I don't like ice and snow and would welcome an April shower.
Many of the dreams submitted here on the dreamer's site for interpretation are ones that repeat themselves over weeks, months and even years. Don't you find they can get tiresome? Oh, no...here's that dream again! When you wake up feeling spent and weary... don't you wonder what's the reason for it?...why do the same familiar images keep on appearing and bothering you? Wouldn't it be nice to get a fresh new dream?
A dreams-teller can help you interpret your recurring dreams. This type of dream wants to get in touch with you (the dreamer), wants to tap you on the shoulder, wants to give you a message. If you keep ignoring it then it keeps popping up again.
What To Do
Jot down the actions and images as soon as you awaken
Note the dates you had the dreams
Remember if you took an active role in your dream or only observed
Record any future similar dreams
How, if at all, did the dream story progress or change?
What emotions do you remember feeling?
